10:15 AM MDT; Research in Skåne, Sweden – This class focuses on the Swedish provinces of Skåne (Scania), Halland, and Blekinge. It will discuss the geography, population, and history of this region, it will discuss unique tools for doing research in this region, and it will present a case study using these websites. Step-by-step instructions for the case study are included in the handout so you can follow along or do it on your own time later.  

12:30 PM MDT; Norway Census Strategy - Census are an important part of Norwegian genealogical research, especially after 1865. It can be challenging and sometimes confusing when trying to use censuses on the Digitalarkivet before 1865. Come join us as we explore and discuss the censuses of Norway from the earliest in 1769 to present day.

1:45 PM MDT; Historical Timeline for Norway - Here we will discuss the changes in history and how it affects record keeping in Norway.

3:00 PM MDT; How to Reach the Church Records for Iceland - We will discuss keywords used in the Icelandic Church Records. You will also learn how to understand these words as we read entries of Birth, Confirmation, Marriage, Death, and Moving Records.
