Faith & Society Webinar Series [Ep. 1] | Faith & Society: A Global Perspective
Faith has been a powerful force for good in the world for thousands of years, weaving the moral fabric of society and leading countless men and women to strengthen their families and communities by listening to the “better angels of our nature.” Yet the role of faith and religious institutions in modern society is viewed in radically different ways throughout the world. This series aims to examine those views and to consider the current state of religious faith, not focusing on a specific religious group and from a non-theological point of view. Together with invited experts and officials, we will examine the status of freedom of religion or belief and how this fundamental right is essential for faith and religion to thrive. Topics will also explore religion as a builder of social capital, and the many ways religious communities and institutions contribute across the entire spectrum of society. This opening episode will set the stage of the series by looking at how religion plays an active role in the public square and global trends.

The panel will be in English and will run approximately 1 hour. Live interpretation will be offered in Spanish. You will need to update or download the free Zoom application to select language channels.

We encourage active participation from the attendees by submitting questions in advance or during the webinar.
